Greenchef was founded in the year 1999 by Shri. Sukhlal Jain, with the support of his close relatives. Founded as a company exclusively manufacturing LPG gas stoves, it has since forayed into a wide range of kitchen and home appliances. Today, Greenchef's range covers almost all categories of products for a home maker, with new products being introduced continuously.

It was the quality of products that were initially produced, that made Greenchef foray into the crowded home and kitchen appliances market. Insights from previous experience in manufacturing coupled with the belief that quality can be made affordable, gave birth to the brand that was to take on established stalwarts. It is this belief that has since turned into the Greenchef's core mission of making quality affordable.
