主に竹・木工芸品、華・茶道用品並びに竹炭、建築用資材の製造卸を展開してきました。近年は現代アートとの融合や金閣寺、妙喜庵待庵（利休作）の古材を使用した日用道具の製作も手がけています。

Established in 1973, TAKANO-CHIKKO create mainly utensils using at tea ceremony, in Nagaokakyo-city which is famous for a rich source of bamboo.
We make also various products in respecting the feel of a natural　material such as bamboo or wood. Recently, we try to work in collaborating with the modern art.

TAKANO-CHIKKO make also daily utensils by old building materials of
templs such as Kingakuji-temple, a world heritage site. We work at each
piece with scrupulous care and with joy of passing it to users of today,
feeling the eternity of the materials which were polished up by artisans
of 330 years ago.It would be a great pleasure if you use a piece of work
in your everyday life, thinking of the people living in the past.
