Scantime was started in 2004, after the founder, David Simm, developed and launched the first form of PLC and SCADA e-learning courses, providing a unique look at these systems and the programming involved. Popularity in the e-learning series grew and over the years, we have furthered our e-learning platform, as well as developed industry leading, hands-on courses due to the expertise and experience gained from working in the automation industry for over 45 years, working with Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi and Omron PLC’s.

We now provide training in over 40 countries worldwide, delivering PLC and SCADA Programming courses to major blue-chip companies.

Our Training Partners
EAL: We are approved as an officially recognised EAL Training Centre to provide EAL recognised hands-on PLC and SCADA Programming training courses. EAL is the specialist awarding organisation for the engineering, manufacturing and professional trades sectors.

Mitsubishi Electric: We are partnered with Mitsubishi Electric to deliver all of their Mitsubishi Accredited PLC, HMI, SCADA and DRIVES training courses at our Scantime Training Centre in Gateshead.

Tyne Metropolitan College: TyneMet College's award-winning Engineering department provides the best place for engineering students to learn both the theory of engineering as well as training in a practical environment.

Thorp Academy: We are actively engaged in promoting Industrial Engineering to students at Thorp Academy. Our aim is to raise the numbers of Engineers entering the exciting and lucrative field of Automation.
