HOUSE RULES

Here are a few basic rules that we ask all posters on our FB Page to observe. There aren't many but I'm sure you can appreciate why we feel each one is necessary:

CUSTOMERS

* We are happy to discuss and investigate any occurrences where you feel our performace was less than you expected. Please contact our Customer Service team via any of our usual channels (i.e. email or telephone) and we'll do our very best to arrive at a fair and amicable solution. Please do not make a specific complaint via a public forum like our wall (or if you do, please expect us to remove it from the wall). We do have a process to follow to deal with complaints and we promise we will follow it in every case. We will always uphold the confidentiality of any details of any transaction with a named individual and so it would be impossible and unethical for us to respond to public complaints about specific instances with public responses. If we remove a complaint from the wall, it certainly doesn't mean we are ignoring it or we automatically disbelieve you. We just feel that such discussions are private matters and it is not appropriate to hold them in a public forum.

SELLERS

* Please do not offer to sell any item that could be considered to be an alternative to any of the products offered by Robinsons without prior written approval from us. We do occasionally make exceptions in cases where items are sold for charitable or social causes but we would view anything else as being in competition with our own offer.

* In the instance of items that we do not sell, we are generally quite relaxed about posts as long as we feel they are of benefit and interest to our visitors. We reserve the right to have the final say in that judgement and will remove anything we feel fails to meet this criteria. The onus is on the poster to determine whether or not their product or service is 'in competition' with Robinsons and they should expect to see their posts featured or deleted accordingly.

* Whatever the goods or service, we will not tolerate repeat posting to our wall. We are only able to attract thousands of people to our Page because it contains information that is of interest to them. Repeat postings quickly remove that interest and result in visitors choosing to leave. Please do not take advantage of our stance on commercial posts. If we think you have over-posted, we will delete your posts. If we feel you consistently over-post, we will block you.

ALL VISITORS

* Please keep all posts clean and free from profanity or any other form of language which is liable to offend. If you couldn't say it on daytime TV, please don't type it here.

* Please do not write anything that could be considered libellous or negative in any way about another individual. There have been cases where people have been made legally accountable for comments they have made via social media. Aside from that, this is not the place to enter into disputes or recrimination and any inappropriate posts will be deleted.

* Please ensure all links point to pages and sites which also meet the above 'daytime TV' standards of decency. Any links which are not thought by us to be appropriate for our visitors will be deleted.

We may add to this list of House Rules at any time to extend their scope, if necessary.
