The IoD provides its members with opportunities to meet and connect, with high-profile occasions such as the Annual Convention hosting more than 2,000 business leaders and attracting prestigious speakers such as Dame Fiona Reynolds, Bill Gates, David Cameron and Vince Cable.

Smaller, more regular events are held regionally, with local breakfast briefings and seminars. Members also have free access to workspace in 11 prestigious city premises – three of which are in London – and one in Paris.

The Information and Advisory team handles in excess of 30,000 enquiries annually while Directors’ Law Express – its legal helpline that celebrated its 10th anniversary in January 2011 – has dealt with almost 43,000 calls from 16,000 individual members since its inception.
