Arcura is a long established family business with a strong reputation amongst developers and contractors for quality workmanship, unparalleled industry knowledge and high levels of service. We started life back in 1986, and until August 2015 we were known as Woodpecker Windows.

Woodpecker Windows, founded in 1986 has gone from strength to strength and is now the thriving business that you know, serving the fenestration industry and known for its commitment to service. We are much more than a ‘window supplier’ and hence the name Woodpecker Windows was limiting our growth potential and vision for the future, therefore the decision was made to rebrand.

We needed a name that reflected our values, our experience, our quality and most of all our honesty and dedication to our clients. A shortlist was drawn up and the name ‘Arcura’ was chosen.

The word Arcura is derived from accuracy and arc, a bridge between supplier and customer. Adding ‘fenestration’ to the strapline perfectly encapsulates our offering – “the design, construction and placement of windows and other openings to a building”.
