Vertu Motors opened Infiniti Newcastle in September 2014, the tenth Infiniti Centre in the UK and the first in the North East.

The new centre, where £500,000 has been invested in its development, is located at Silverlink Retail Park in Newcastle, and covers the areas of Tyne and Wear, County Durham and Teesside.

The dealership has the style, look and feel of the brand, which prides itself in operating in a similar fashion to a five star hotel. Each Infiniti Centre is unique, with bespoke furnishing, creating a luxurious environment and Infiniti Newcastle is no different. Every member of the Infiniti Newcastle team is a 'brand ambassador', trained to advise customers on the model best suited to their needs and able to deliver outstanding customer service.

Sold globally in 50 different countries, the premium Infiniti brand was launched in 1989. Currently manufactured in Japan and the United States, its first European manufacturing plant is set to open in Sunderland next year as the brand expands into Europe.

Amongst other models, Infiniti Newcastle will be selling the recently launched Q50, a premium sports saloon packed with leading edge technologies alongside a full hybrid version designed with both performance and efficiency in mind. This will be followed by the Infiniti Q30 which will be manufactured in Sunderland next year.

Vertu Motors plc, which trades under the Bristol Street Motors, Macklin Motors, Vertu Honda, Vertu Volkswagen, Farnell Land Rover brands, was formed in late 2006 to acquire and consolidate UK motor retail businesses. Since flotation in December 2006, the Group has established itself as a major player in the United Kingdom automotive retail sector and operates 112 outlets, representing 21 manufacturers, across the UK.

‘Infiniti’ first came in to being in 1985 with the formation of Nissan’s top secret ‘Horizon Task Force’ with the objective of creating a new performance luxury brand. In July 1987 the Infiniti name was born and sales officially started on November 8th 1989 when the initial 51 Infiniti dealers in the United States opened their showroom doors for the first time.

The new millennium heralded a period of unprecedented growth for Infiniti and led by visionary executive Carlos Ghosn, the company concentrated on reinvigorating the brand with an altogether new breed of vehicles, cutting edge rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive designs. The customer response was remarkable and Infiniti became the fastest growing luxury brand in the United States. By 2004, cumulative Infiniti sales had topped one million units.
