Cut by hand from the finest calfskins, each pair of Edward Green shoes is made in our Northampton workshop according to the same principles that have guided us for over a century.

Edward Green, was a man with a singular passion for shoes. He established his own workshop in Northampton in 1890, drawing together the town’s most illustrious craftsmen, each an expert in their respective field, and sourced the best materials for them to work with.

“Excellence without compromise,” was his promise and soon his name became associated with the finest Goodyear welted footwear, chosen by style icons from Ernest Hemingway to Edward, Duke of Windsor.

These men and many others like them epitomise what Edward Green shoes represent: elegant, quintessentially English footwear worn by gentlemen of distinction, charm and wit. Men, who understand the value of tradition, yet thrive on a sense of adventure.

Today, we continue to strive to make the best shoes possible, refining and improving our process, but always taking our time to ensure each pair of shoes is fit to bear our founder’s name and dress another generation of men who truly appreciate the difference.
