We hope that many of you will already know us, and that we have a long history in Harpenden of providing high quality dentistry. Changes in the way that NHS dental services operate mean that we feel that it becoming increasingly difficult for us to provide the type of care that we would choose to. To this end Mr Cammack and his colleagues have decided to start Vaughan Dental. As there is currently no funding option for us to provide any level of NHS dentistry, we plan to operate on an ‘Independent’ basis. This means that we are independent of the NHS, but have based the fee structure to be reasonably close to NHS fees, but comfortably avoiding the ‘private’ fees that many people come to expect of non-NHS services. Inevitably, it is not possible to compete directly with NHS prices, but the trade-off is that we will be able to provide a better, calmer, less rushed, higher quality and friendlier service. The priority will always be you, the patient, as an individual.
