The Fitness Function is a privately-owned fitness studio in Penn Street, focusing on small group training and group exercise classes. A variety of workouts are available to suit all fitness levels and goals.

In one studio we teach a variety of mat-based and small equipment classes, such as Matwork Pilates, Yoga, Kettle Bell Training, Body Blast, PT Super Sculpt, Freeform and Trigger Point Pilates.

In another studio we teach Gravity classes, which are focused, time-efficient workouts on a machine called the Total Gym. Exercises are performed on different inclines and work every muscle using your own body’s resistance against gravity. In just 45 minutes, you get a top-to-toe workout that tones, strengthens and improves flexibility – and hopefully you have fun too!

We also have a third studio; our new indoor cycling studio. Here we teach a variety of Bike Fit classes that will burn calories, strengthen muscles and improve cardio health.

Numbers in all our classes are limited to provide an experience that is a blend of personal training and a traditional exercise class. This ensures clients get a good level of attention from the fully trained instructors, enabling them to better achieve their goals and do all the exercises correctly and effectively.

At the Fitness Function we have no membership charges or joining fees – simply pay for the classes you wish to attend and mix and match as much as you like!
