East Kent Housing: Shepway Area

We manage over 17,000 council homes across Canterbury, Dover, Shepway and Thanet on behalf of local councils in East Kent.

We look after a range of council housing services including:
- Managing improvements to tenants’ homes.
- Collecting rent and helping tenants who are having difficulty
- Making sure that tenants stick to their tenancy agreements.
- Involving and communicating with tenants and supporting community groups and activities.
- Working with the police, the council and other agencies to reduce anti-social behaviour
- Reletting empty properties, approving mutual exchanges and changes to tenancies.
- Running Independent Living schemes
- Day to day repairs and organising adaptations to the homes of tenants with disabilities

We are managed by a Board of Directors, which includes four residents, four local authority nominees representing each council area and four independent members.
