Dr Jonathan Lyne is a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist. An experienced specialist in the assessment diagnosis and treatment of disorders related to heart rhythm cardiac and vascular disorders. Symptoms of arrhythmia are many and varied but may include palpitation dizziness chest pain collapse breathlessness or loss of consciousness (syncope). He uses the very latest diagnostic techniques and procedures including electrophysiology studies (EPS) 3D mapping non contact mapping and cardiac ablation (radiofrequency and cryoablation) for both adult and paediatric patients. He is also fully trained in the insertion follow up and management of cardiac devices including internal defibrillators (transvenous and subcutaneous) pacemakers (including leadless pacemaker) biventricular (CRT) devices loop recorders (Reveal/Linq) and left atrial appendage occlusion (Watchman/ACP devices). Cardiac device follow up including remote monitoring extractions optimisation and upgrades. He provides routine and urgent cardiac care across Ireland from the Blackrock Clinic Hermitage Clinic and the Beacon Hospital.
